UV-C Light Technology
Yakinori in Solihull is a Japanese restaurant serving noodles and sushi from
an open kitchen visible to diners.
Being located in a busy shopping centre the planners were particularly concerned about fire risk and cooking odours.
During the design process Corsair prepared DEFRA risk assessments to
analyse the impact of odour and flammable grease on the building structure and the local envronment.
The design process called for Vortex-GDS a 3 stage UV-C filtration system to prevent odour nuisance and reduce the whole life costs through lower maintenace and reduced fire risk, therefore protecting the asset.
Balancing supply air, and entraining induction jets completed the installation
along with Ansul fire suppression system and low maintenance, energy saving LED lighting.
